FAQ

Botox

+ What is Botox Cosmetics?
A natural, purified protein produced by Clostridum botulinum bacterium. Botox is the only FDA approved Treatment of its type.
+ Is it safe?
Yes! It is a purified form of the protein and is injected in very small amounts, so there is virtually no risk.
+ What is the treatment like?
Botox is a quick and minimally invasive treatment—only a few tiny injections are made into the muscles that are the cause of expression lines and wrinkles. The entire procedure takes approximately 15 minutes. Discomfort is minimal and brief; most patients compare the sensation to a bug bite. You may continue your normal activities immediately after.
+ How soon will the results show?
You can expect to see the results within a couple days after your treatment, while the appearance of the area between your brows may continue to improve for up to a week. Visible results can last up to four months and you can return for your next treatment after this time.

Restylane

+ What is Restylane?
Restylane is a cosmetic dermal-filler made from hyaluronic acid that replaces lost volume and restores youthful contours to the skin, smoothening away moderate to severe facial wrinkles and folds.
+ What should I do prior to treatment?
Restylane requires no pretesting, but you should take a few precautions before being treated. Avoid using aspirin, non-steroidal and anti-inflammatory medications, St. John’s Wort, or high doses of Vitamin E supplements prior to treatment, as these may increase bruising or bleeding at the injection site. Also, if you have previously suffered from facial cold sores be sure to discuss this with your doctor, who may prescribe a medication to minimize reoccurrence.
+ How long does Restylane last?
Restylane lasts about six months.
+ Do the injections hurt?
Restylane is injected directly into the skin in small amounts by an ultrafine needle. As with all injections, some patients may experience discomfort. To increase your comfort we may assess your need for pain management and determine what technique is right for you.
